Pressie For My Younger Sista

I made this a few weeks ago for one of my younger sisters. The lil girl elf on the card and tin is a pattern I got from Lapulenta Designs. Alisa has some really nice creations. I luv everything she makes. I decorated a Prima hydrangea tin, put different types of chocolate in it and mailed it off to Scotland. My sis really liked it and she's going to use the tin to store her jewellry.

Miss you Tanya! Luv ya!

My Concoctions - Part 2

In goes the chocolate brownie mix.

In goes the blonde brownie mix.

Bake for 30mins and you get this...

For a brownie with no refined sugars and flour it was pretty good. To make it even better I added berry frozen yogurt on top...mmm.

My Concoction - Part 1

I made Somersize Chocolate Swirl Brownies last night. The mix was created by Suzanne Somers. You get the dry ingredients pre-mixed then you add the cream, water, melted butter and eggs yourself. The dry ingredients does not have any refined sugars and flour.

Here's all the ingredients for the chocolate brownie.

All mixed up.

More X'mas Cards

For this first card I used a Sugar Nellie stamp, Honey with Gifts by Elisabeth Bell. I coloured the image with Copics. I'm still new at using Copics. I've only coloured a handful of images so far. Still need to practice on shading.

The silver ribbon slider says "CELEBRATE" on it. I purchased the silver ribbon sliders at a $1 store. You get 2 packs for $1 and each pack has 5 silver ribbon slders in it. All of them are different shapes, sizes and have different words on them. They are great for cards.

Home Decor Selections

My Hubby and I spent 6hrs at the home decor centre yesterday picking out all the interior stuff for our new house. It would have went faster but the oringal sales lady was not there because she was sick so the woman that helped us had to look up most of the stuff which took long :o( I was sooo tired when we got to the 4hr mark. I could not think straight because I had only 2hrs sleep the night before. The colours for main level of the house will be dark espresso brown, grey and white. These are some of the selections we picked...

The brown tile on the left is what will be on the kitchen floor, foyer floor and it will be set on a 45 degree angle (diamond). The hardwood on the right is what will be on the entire main level, stairs and walk way for the upstairs.

The espresso brown cupboard on the top is the colour for all the cupboards in our kitchen but the style will be the 3rd image. The granite on the bottom will be the kitchen counters and the island. The colours are white, grey and brown. The backsplash will be a light grey.

This is the style of the kitchen cupboards and the colour will be the espresso brown shown on the above image.

This is the granite that will be on the kitchen counters and island. The colours are white, grey and brown. The back splash will be a light grey to match the granite and it will be set on a 45 degree angle (diamond).

The carpet colour is called roman amber. There will be carpeting in only the 4 bedrooms. Everywhere else in the home will be hardwood and tiles.

This is the selections for the master bathroom. The cupboard will be a different design. A more modern design.

This selection is for the guest bathroom. The cupboards will be a smooth design.

This selection is for the twin bathroom. The cupboards will be a smooth design.

The fourth bathroom (powder room) on the main level will have dark brown tiles at a 45 degree angle (diamond), white pedestal sink and mirror. Same tile that is being used in the kitchen and foyer.

Home Decor Centre

I woke at up 7:30am today and that is very early for me. Hubby and I have a 10am appointment at the home decor centre today. It snowed last night so we have to leave early because traffic will be rough. We are picking out all the interior stuff for our new house today. I am looking forward to seeing all the options. The image above is our new home that is currently being built. We move in Oct 2009. I am very excited because it's a much bigger home then the townhouse we currently own. I will also be getting my own craft room which I am very excited about. No more crafting in the dining area. Right now I have taken over the entire dining area and table with all my crafting goodies...lol.
